Material transfer
The vibrating trough carries material from a bin or hopper towards a crusher, screen, conveyor or another process inlet. Define the discharge position and downstream interface.
A self-synchronising GZG feeder uses two vibrating motors to move material along a trough from a hopper to a crusher, screen or conveyor. Selection brings together material duty, hopper loading, installation angle and support conditions.
The trough, vibration drive and support arrangement work together at the feeding point. Review these interfaces before selecting a model.
The vibrating trough carries material from a bin or hopper towards a crusher, screen, conveyor or another process inlet. Define the discharge position and downstream interface.
Provide free movement clearance of at least 20 mm and keep the trough level across its width. Supports and connections must allow the designed vibration.
Feed can be adjusted through the hopper gate and, when specified, variable-frequency control. Eccentric-weight adjustment is an offline procedure under the machine manual.
Fast/slow feeding, remote control and variable-frequency speed adjustment are optional configurations described in the manual; confirm the required control package.
Use these manual requirements when reviewing the feeding point. Model capacity, power, dimensions and mass are specified on the selected installation drawing.
| Item | Manual requirement |
|---|---|
| Vibration drive | Two motors; equal speed, opposite directions |
| Installation inclination | 10° downward recommended; up to 15° according to the feeding requirement |
| Free movement clearance | At least 20 mm; feeder must remain free to vibrate |
| Transverse alignment | Level across the trough width to prevent material drifting to one side |
| Hopper load | The feeder design does not include storage pressure. The hopper/chute arrangement must carry the vertical material-column load. |
| Control options | Fast/slow feeding, remote control and VFD adjustment when specified |
Applications are reviewed by the feeding point and material condition. State whether the material is lump, granular or powder, and identify any fines-removal requirement. Wet, sticky or frozen material and impact loading require separate consideration.
Bulk material is discharged from a storage bin or hopper into the feeder trough.
Two vibrating motors run at equal speed in opposite directions, producing the self-synchronising motion that advances material along the trough.
The selected model, installation angle and operating settings determine the throughput. VFD control can provide convenient feed-rate adjustment where specified.
Review the trough, two vibrating motors and their mountings, support/isolation elements, and hopper and discharge connections. The hopper arrangement must carry material-column pressure rather than transmit it directly to the feeder. Confirm support loads and dimensions from the installation drawing.
Send the material and process inputs below, together with support, isolation and connection details. Describe the normal duty and its expected variations.
Provide access to motor mountings, bearings and isolation elements. Monitor amplitude, current, temperature and unusual noise; inspect fasteners and maintain the free movement clearance. Carry out adjustment and lubrication only under the machine manual and site isolation procedure.
Where specified, a variable-frequency drive can form part of the control arrangement. Confirm the permitted operating range and interlocks; do not assume an adjustment range from the series name.
Describe particle form and size, moisture, bulk density and any sticky, frozen or impact-loaded condition. Suitability is reviewed for the actual material. If fines removal is needed, specify it separately; a GZG feeder does not automatically include a grizzly section.
Share the support layout, hopper arrangement and downstream connections. Maintain at least 20 mm of free movement clearance, level the trough across its width and check that hopper pressure is carried by the hopper/chute structure. Use the selected drawing to verify support loads.
